Noida woman returning from work abducted in Ghaziabad, gang-raped | Ghaziabad News – Times of India


MEERUT: A 30-year-old Noida woman was allegedly abducted and gang-raped while returning from work on Wednesday night.
According to the FIR registered at Pilkahua police station in Hapur district, the woman works at a departmental store in Indirapuram area and was returning home from work when the incident happened.
“The woman used to change two auto-rickshaws- one from Indirapuram to Lal Kuan and another to reach her home in Noida after work. As per her complaint, the incident happened on Wednesday night at around 9pm when she took an auto from Lal Kuan in Ghaziabad,” Neeraj Kumar Jadaun, Hapur superintendent of police said.
As per reports, the woman had initially approached Masuri police station in Ghaziabad with her plea. She was later directed to Pilakhua in neighbouring Hapur district where her FIR was registered on Thursday morning.
“Our control room received an alert about the incident at around 3 in the morning on Thursday from our counterparts at Masuri police station in Ghaziabad. We immediately registered an FIR and sent the woman for medical examination,” Sarvesh Mishra, Hapur additional superintendent of police said.
A team led by Hapur SP Jadaun visited the crime spot following which an investigation was been launched.
