Thane: Youth’s body chopped in pieces found dumped in river in Titwala | Thane News – Times of India

KALYAN: An unidentified person has been booked for allegedly killing a 25-year-old youth by cutting his body parts into pieces, packing them into a gunny bag and dumping it along with a scooter in Kalu river, Titwala.
The incident has come to light on Tuesday at 4.30pm when locals near Runde village witnessed scooter with gunny bag into the bank of Kalu river and informed to local Kalyan Taluka police.
Acting on information, police went to the spot and brought scooter and gunny bag outside the river but shocked to find dead body in pieces.
Police suspect that the youth might be killed two days ago and later his body was dumped as the body was in a decomposed condition.
The police later sent the body for post-mortem at a hospital in Kalyan.
Following the incident, the police have registered a murder case against an unidentified person and have formed four separate teams to crack the case.
